How to run a Ligue 1 prediction league
Ligue 1 has eighteen clubs and a short season by the standards of the big leagues. Its particular problem for a prediction league is that one club wins most weeks, and everyone knows it.

The season in numbers
Eighteen clubs play each other home and away: 34 rounds of 9 matches, 306 in all, from August to May. With nine matches a round, the Golden Pick doubles one match in nine.
When one club wins most weeks
Paris Saint-Germain have won most of the recent titles, and nearly every player will back them every week. When everybody calls the same result, nobody gains a point on anybody. Your league will be decided by the exact score in those games and by the other eight matches each round.
That makes the choice of points more important here than anywhere. Under Simple 3-1-0, a player who backs the favourite to win every match collects steady points and the table bunches up. Under bullseye scoring an exact score is worth far more than the result, so the player who calls 2-0 rather than 3-0 pulls away. See both worked through in how the points work.
The Golden Pick helps too. If the whole league doubles the same safe match, nobody gains on anybody, so a player chasing the leader does better putting it on a match they think the others have got wrong.
When the matches are
A round is usually spread from Friday to Sunday night, with a few rounds played midweek. Every match on PrediSportsHQ closes at its own kick-off, so a player can wait for the team news on Sunday's late game. The midweek rounds are the ones people forget, so send an announcement the day before (Admin, then Messages).
Christmas and the international breaks
Ligue 1 takes a short winter break over Christmas and New Year, and stops for the international breaks in September, October, November and March. Before each restart, post the title-race picture from Admin, then Stats, with the next deadline. Choose “Your competition's colours” when you set up and the league wears blue, white and red.
The real table and the AI
Your league's Table page has a second view with the real Ligue 1 table, so players can check the standings without leaving. The AI's call on every Ligue 1 match, and how it did, is on the Ligue 1 predictions page.
